Feldenkrais For Parents & Professionals

For parents, carers and professionals who live or work with children and teenagers requiring extra support.

Sessions in South London or Online

Supporting the Supporters

Caring for children who need extra support can take its toll. I offer discounted individual Feldenkrais sessions for parents and carers a chance to feel calmer, more grounded, and better resourced for daily life.

I create and deliver workshop spaces to explore what you already know, ask questions, and make sense of movement as a key foundation for development.

My Approach

Starting with what you already know and your experience of your child I work with you to develop a deeper understanding of:

  • Sense of self – The image we hold of a child influences how we interact with them.

  • Touch as communication – Using respectful, intentional touch to support learning, especially for children whose communication is largely non-verbal.

  • Finding the ground – Ensuring a child feels comfortable and well-supported in themselves and in their equipment, wheelchairs, standing frames, sensory toys.

  • Weight shift, pressing & lifting – Understanding the physics of functional movement and developmental progression.

  • The senses as stimulus – Tactile feedback, proprioception, vestibular and kinaesthetic sensing, children learn through their bodies.

Learning Through Movement

The language of movement. From birth, children learn about themselves and their world through sensory intelligence—their eyes, their breathing, their attention, their limbs. Movement is their first language.

These bespoke sessions (in person or online) are designed collaboratively with you, the adult caring for or working with children or teenager.

Workshops for professionals and practitioners to add to your established practices by including a deeper grounding of the role of functional movement.
